"Creative and Loving Teaching Style"

"Our child benefitted greatly from Lindsay’s creative and loving teaching style. We could tell how much she loved and enjoyed the kids, especially through her smiles, hugs, and laughter. She was very organized, in control, and good at communication with both students and parents. She encouraged the kids to grow in each of their learning styles and challenged them in creative ways. We were impressed with how independent she encouraged the kindergartners to be. School was so fun that the children didn’t even realize they were learning so much! We couldn’t have asked for our son to have a better experience in kindergarten!!"

– The Storm Family (Norman, OK)
"Always treated with kindness and respect"

"When my son was in kindergarten, a visit to Lindsay's classroom always made my day. The students were always engaged in an interesting and fun activity and were always treated with kindness and respect. Lindsay actively invited parents to be involved and to visit the classroom and I always felt comfortable talking to her about any questions or concerns I had."

"Going the extra mile"

"Ms Berryhill is the epitome of a Kindergarten teacher. After 11 years spent teaching in public schools, I was completely enamored with her as a teacher. My child thrived in her classroom. Ms. Berryhill provides a language rich and hands-on environment. My child was able to explore and learn and feel and safe and loved while doing so. Another advantage to having Ms. Berryhill as a teacher is the frequent communication home. My child lost her tooth at school and I got a picture and an email to my computer at work. That's going the extra mile - and that explains Ms. Berryhill to a tee! She goes the extra mile for all of her students so that they can grow, achieve and learn to be outstanding people."

– Melissa Johnson, Parent (Norman, OK)
"Recognized and encouraged the uniqueness in each student"

"Ms. Berryhill created a warm and inviting environment for my child and her classmates to learn and grow. She recognized and encouraged the uniqueness in each student and drew upon their strengths to help them succeed. She was always friendly, energetic, and fun to be around. She took a real interest in each individual and was very communicative with us as parents. She captured and shared many precious pictures of my child taking part in the unique kindergarten experiences we were not able to be a part of and always had an open door for us to be active participants when we could be there. Her creativity in teaching was also a tremendous asset to the classroom. Following the Q and U wedding, which happened on a whim but has now become a tradition at the school, you would probably be hard-pressed to find a former kindergartener that does not know that the letters always go together. We will miss her dearly and know that she will create the same magic in the classroom wherever she goes."

– Ashley Parker (Norman, OK)
"Safe and loving classroom environment"

"Lindsay is the most caring, creative and dedicated teacher you could ever wish for your child to have! Her safe and loving classroom environment provides each child with the opportunity to experience learning on so many different levels. I truly believe it is her love of teaching that has turned my child into a life long learner! I am eternally grateful for the experiences she allowed him to have! She will always hold a very special place in our hearts!!"

"Fostering a love of learning that will become a lifelong joy"

We feel we have been blessed in finding a school for our Julia where not only do we not have to worry about her, but we know that she is growing and developing to her fullest potential. When we drop Julia off at Terra Verde, we know that she is in the best hands possible and will be better off at the end of each and every day. Ms. Berryhill is a terrific teacher, catering to each child’s individual needs, and fostering a love for learning that will become a lifelong joy. The focus is holistic, on the child's development not only intellectually, but also emotionally and socially. We also love Terra Verde’s "green mind set," with its emphasis on exploring the outdoors and learning to take care of animals, growing plants, and recycling. We feel our daughter is learning to care for and respect Mother Earth.

Fresh and Innovative Ideas

“Mrs. Goodgame is an exceptional educator.  She is very kind and skillful in handling and teaching her students.  She cares for the children she teaches and it’s evident in everything she does.  Not only does she nurture the minds of her kids, but she also nurtures their souls.  She is warm and caring and strives beyond her title and job duties to become a friend to the children and their families.  Carol consistently possesses a cheerful and positive attitude.  Her teaching curriculum is outstanding and well thought out.  She always introduces fresh and innovative ideas.  She believes in a classroom structure that provides learning opportunities around every corner.  She, appropriately, commands respect, but is genuinely caring and interested in each of the students and always has the best interests of her students at heart.
I’ve seen my own daughter, as well as her classmates, adapt well to their school environment.  I’ve seen my daughter become an excellent reader in less than a school year!  My child can also complete simple addition and subtraction before her kindergarten year ended.  All of this is in no small part due to Mrs. Goodgame’s diligence to ensure each child is taught to their level and driven to their full potential.”

Absolute Epitome of a Research-Based Early Literacy Practitioner

Carol is the absolute epitome of a research-based, early literacy practitioner. She has literally overhauled the means by which we instruct reading. At the end of the school year, the vast majority of her kindergartners have a sight-word bank in excess of one hundred and twenty-five words. Without exception, all of her students were ‘reading ready’. As if this were not enough, Carol’s method of teaching is a laboratory for differentiated instruction. By the end of October, all of her kindergarteners were touring as many as seven instructional stations while she simultaneously held conferences with them either one-on-one or in small groups with select students. In just six weeks, students were managing their own learning. Carol worked in a collaborative classroom sharing her space and time with a dedicated Judaic Studies Teacher.
Carol is in the top one percent of all the classroom practitioners we have experienced throughout our combined administrative careers. Her sense of collaboration, her professional discretion, her currency of methods, and her interactions with children are all exemplary.

Amazing Memories

“Kindergarten for Jack was an entire year of intensely amazing memories Jack will never forget.  As we grow into adults, we never forget our Kindergarten teacher; especially one that had such a positive impact on our lives.  As parents, we will never forget Mrs. Goodgame either.  We can only dream that she could have been our younger son’s teacher as well!”

– Amy Baldwin, Parent
How Does She Do It?

I like so many, am a parent that wants the best for my daughter and it is with great pleasure that I sing the praises of kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Carol Goodgame. My daughter changed schools after her kindergarten year with Mrs. Goodgame and we soon discovered she was more than prepared for 1st grade. My daughter was and still is in the top of her class, excelling in all areas, reading 9 levels above a majority of her class and approaching every challenge with confidence and enthusiasm. I truly pay credit to Mrs. Goodgame's You Did Great Now Lets Push It a Little More approach (my words not hers).
But, it's not just her academic approach that impresses me, it's also Mrs. Goodgame's  positive energy and earnestness: the kind of energy that draws children in. My daughter’s kindergarten days were full of creative activities and events that left many of us parents saying "how does she do it?". To top it off she knows how to get parents involved. I, along with many others, had the fortune of helping with centers, reading time and art projects. I strongly recommend Mrs. Goodgame to all parents and administrators. She is the whole package and is an incredible asset to any organization.
